Our University Series

Our goal is to give you such an exceptional home selling or buying experience that you will feel compelled to tell all your friends and family about us.

We use our time each and every day to its fullest potential, always remembering that our clients pay us to work diligently to get their home sold, or find their next home for purchase.

We strive to deliver more value to you than you expect to receive and to provide uncompromising service based on integrity, fairness, knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm.

Once your real estate transaction has been completed, we’d be honoured if you were to refer our services to everyone you know so they could share the same excellent experience you enjoyed.

Buyer University

In this series of articles we're going to be covering an array of topics. We'll talk about the buyer consultation, what that’s all about, why it’s so important, and when in the process to have it.

You’ll understand why having a mortgage consultation with a bank lender or mortgage broker is crucial. We'll discuss short-term versus long-term mortgages, fixed- versus variable-rate and their related pluses and minuses, as well as discussing the use of RRSPs towards your down payment.

We'll also cover a complete overview of the house and condo buying process from start to finish. Our goal and vision for you is that by the time you’ve finished reading these articles, you’ll have a very clear idea of what it takes to go from today to the day you get the keys to your new home.

So, read the articles here, build your knowledge and, if you feel like we’ve added some value to you, please feel free to contact us anytime with your questions.

Mortgage University

Now more than ever home buyers should be using the services of a Mortgage Professional instead of someone in a bank branch who has a multitude of titles and jobs and does not focus exclusively on helping clients with their mortgage needs.

Mortgage brokers on the other hand have access to arrange their client’s financing with not just one institution but with many Canadian banks, trust companies and insurance companies. They work for the client and not for the bank.

A good borrowing strategy might be… Be loyal to yourself and NOT to your bank.

Investor UNIVERSITY

Investing in real estate is one of the best things you can do to secure your future retirement years.   I encourage everyone to take advantage of the excellent, leveraged ROI that real estate provides.

Of course, you need a seasoned Realtor to help you with your purchases to make sure you’re making an excellent buying decision but that’s not all you need.

Once you’ve purchased, the two things you’re going to look forward to are finding the best tenant and, when it comes time to sell, dealing in the best way possible with the capital gains tax that our lovely CRA will want to collect.

I’ve written books on each of those two subjects and the Investor University information is derived from them.

You can read the chapters you’re most interested in on the Investor page (then see the Menu on the top right of the page) OR you can download each (or both) of the books as a PDF which you can then read at your leisure.

You can download the Guide To Attracting The Best Tenants here.

You can download Get The Best Capital Gains Tax Advice For Smart Investors here.
